- Help to spearhead the company through building a modern data architecture stack
- Set foundational structures to enable self-service analytics and data democratization
- Continually explore opportunities for improvement
- Create ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration
- Help design, build, and maintain enterprise data warehouse, including logical models, data vault, data marts and other related artifacts
- Design and implement security models for data access control that meet GDPR and various data privacy requirements
- Perform data profiling to understand data domains, data dependencies and lineage
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and IT
- Existing backend tech stack you will be directly working with:
- MS SQL Server, Snowflake
- Airflow, SnapLogic, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, dbt
- Azure DevOps, CI/CD
- 3+ years of relevant data engineering experience in the following areas:
- RDBMS (MSSQL, Postgres, Oracle, etc.)
- Architecting and building enterprise-scale data warehouses
- Relational and dimensional data modeling
- 2+ years of experience with modern BI platforms (Power BI, Qlik Sense, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and the ability to write, test, and optimize SQL queries
- Familiarity with data governance, data catalog, master data management best practices
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, or related field
- Experience with Cloud Data Warehouse (e.g. Snowflake)
- Experience with Cloud Database (e.g. Azure SQL Database)
- Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g. ADF, Blob Storage, Logical Apps)
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)
- Experience with Python
- Experience with dbt, dbtvault
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps)
