Defines and implements strategies, requirements, policies and procedures to ensure quality, security and end-to-end availability of organizational data.

An ideal candidate understands the impact of financial data on the company’s state and federal Open Payments (i.e., “Sunshine Act”) reporting responsibilities, defines and implements strategies, requirements, policies and procedures to ensure quality, security, and end-to-end availability of organizational data.  Also, looks for ways to enhance and automate processes as well as provides technical support to the compliance team as necessary. This position is based in Malvern, PA.

Job Description:

  • Researches, analyzes, consolidates, and interprets aggregate spend-relevant data as well as other compliance-related data using statistical and data analytics methods to create information on company’s financial records (e.g., Travel & Entertainment (T&E) expenses, Accounts Payable expenses, and other source systems).
  • Creates and manages data assets, reports, and/or metrics to track, monitor, and audit compliance-related data used to communicate to various internal and/or external stakeholders.
  • Key interface with global compliance colleagues and with all areas of the company on aggregate-spend data certification as well as any compliance-relevant data in financial records.
  • Analyzes aggerate spend-relevant data to identify spending trends with the objective of creating metrics and other informational reports for management review.
  • Participates in ongoing process & procedural improvement ideas for the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position requires an experienced professional who is expected to contribute to and deliver compliance-related processes and detailed technology solutions, in a self-managed and target oriented manner, and thus contributes to team results. These processes and technology solutions include:
  • Application of expense policies as related to data integrity of relevant information within stated guidelines & policies
  • Ability to assist with complex problems via the use of Microsoft Office (particularly Power Apps, Excel & Access)
  • Understanding of the Open Payments (“Sunshine”) Act and ability to execute aggregate spend-related policies and procedures
  • Ability to understand business needs and to assist by working with IT provided solutions
  • Familiarity and ability to assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on various new software solutions
  • General knowledge of data processing – Extract Transform Load (ETL)
  • Identification of process automation opportunities and develop solutions for the department
  • with T&E expense auditing/monitoring
  • Tracking various compliance training activities provided to company employees (as required)
  • Familiarity with database design and creation

Job Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of expertise with data analysis via Microsoft Office (e.g., Power Apps, Excel, Access, etc.)
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Strong written/analytical/verbal communication skills
  • Strong decision-making skills and comfort making decisions in “gray areas”
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel including management
  • Keen focus on policy adherence
  • Ability to make difficult decisions, and to objectively apply policies to all individuals
  • Manages conflict effectively and calmly
  • Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing information and applying policies
  • Strong results orientation-accuracy
  • Works well under pressure with recognition of time deadlines imposed by management as well as federal and state governments, with time-effective skills to meet these deadlines


  • Strong knowledge in the following:
  • Microsoft Excel (incl. functions, formulas, visual basic for applications “VBA”, queries, and pivot tables)
  • Microsoft Power Apps
  • Microsoft Access (incl. queries, tables, joins, data imports & exports)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (incl. formatting, embedding of charts & other images)

Through professional know-how and ability to use the following tools based on practical experience:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Teams (incl. SharePoint)
  • Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Concur Solutions
  • SAP (incl. cost center structures and general ledger accounts)
