Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist

Job Description

Siemens Parcel Logistics LLC has an opening for an experience Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist in our DFW Airport (Irving,) Texas manufacturing location. This is a Full Time positions with access to a comprehensive Benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and more.

Responsibilities

Extensive experience with CMM software.  Able to train other less experienced inspectors.

Extensive knowledge of GD&T. 

Extensive knowledge of weld symbols per AWS A2.4.

Performs inspection and assists other employees with inspection of received materials, materials fabricated in house, or finished assemblies. Validates conformance to specifications, engineering drawings.

Requires leadership skills, sharing expertise, and training other employees.

Requires the ability to communicate constructively with other internal groups, suppliers, and customers.

Requires good organization skills.

Requires the ability to be self-motivated to do inspections that others avoid because of the complexity, size, or handling difficulties.

Requires a high level of understanding for the rules and conditions defined in ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Requires the flexibility to learn and perform job functions within all sub-groups of the quality department. 

Reviews and analyzes tasks and resources and keeps management informed. 

Requires the handling of big assemblies and parts.

Requires the ability to operate pallet jack, forklift, and crane.

Requires inspection in a shop environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Education

High School education or GED required

At least 7 years job experience and knowledge performing inspection in a manufacturing environment including.
• Surface plate inspection and associated inspection tools.
• Knowledge of GD&T symbols and rules and a good comprehension of the application.
• Final inspection for manufactured assemblies and/or modules. 
• In process inspection for machined parts, sheet metal parts, or weld assemblies.
• Inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies and
cable & harness assemblies.
