Technical Product Manager

Job Description

Here at Siemens Digital Industries Software, we are passionate about helping businesses change the world. Our unparalleled portfolio of engineering simulation software allows our customers to supercharge innovation in the most ground breaking fields.

Today’s biggest engineering challenges aren’t neatly constrained to a single subject area such as fluid dynamics, structural analysis, or systems simulation. Instead, they are cross-discipline and sophisticated. Best in class simulation capabilities are vital, but innovation comes when these capabilities are orchestrated to tackle complex, real-world problems.

Product

Simcenter Madymo is a state-of the-art simulation platform for virtual development and validation of vehicle safety systems, encompassing in-crash as well as pre-crash safety systems. Additionally, it is recognized for its continued innovation and value delivered to our customers in the field of human safety, whether it be on roads, in the air or on the sea.

Siemens has an immediate opening for a Technical Product Manager - Simcenter Safety.

Safety is at the heart of many of today’s biggest engineering challenges. This role is focused on understanding industry challenges and how to provide simulation software that helps to tackle these challenges.

Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated person looking to demonstrate both a technical and analytical background in a challenging position. The Product Manager is responsible for product releases aligned with high-level business strategies, partnering with the Software Development, Engineering, Marketing and Sales organization to ensure product features meet customer requirements. This position offers significant opportunities to formulate product strategies which support achievement of revenue objectives.

Responsibilities

As the Technical Product Manager - Safety, you will report to the Business Product Line Manager and work with customers and others in the simulation industry to understand industry trends and challenges. You will use this knowledge to define a roadmap to address the most important use cases in the industry. Working across the solution domains, you will create proposals and define specific requirements for new simulation capabilities. If you are someone that has a knack for clearly communicating with multiple levels within an organization at a variety of technical levels, this may be the position for you.

Spreading the word is just as important as building innovative technology. You will work with specialists to create demonstration cases and compelling material to show the safety industry what we are capable of. If showing clear business value is one of your skills, then we should talk.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

‒ At least 3 years’ experience working in a software environment with experience in technical product management and its processes

‒ Skilled at understanding overall customer goals

‒ An ability to find innovative ways to problem solving and to show initiative in overcoming challenges

‒ Highly motivated, able to show initiative and accountability within a dynamic work environment

‒ An open and flexible approach with a willingness to adapt to the evolving nature of the industry

‒ Proven strong interpersonal and communication (English Language) skills

‒ Ability to connect with people at various levels of management and technical backgrounds and capable of leading cross-functional teams, regardless of reporting structure

‒ Degree in Biomechanical, Mechanical, Automotive or Aerospace Engineering; experience in the field of vehicle safety is preferred

Mentorship and Career Growth

Our Simcenter team has a mix of experience in both simulation and test, and we are committed to mentoring and onboarding new members. Continuous learning is a key part of our culture, with learning days for the entire organization several times a year. At Siemens we encourage everyone to own their career and enable team members to tackle more complex applications and projects over time.

Team Culture

We have a strong emphasis on balancing life and work with individual autonomy. At Siemens you will be working with employees spread around the globe, as we celebrate the diversity that different cultures bring to our organization.
