POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: SCCM Software Packaging Engineer
Position Summary:
• Responsible for creating, maintaining and troubleshooting software packages in SCCM/Intune for global distribution following the defined software portfolio management process
• Working within the international team helping and solving technical issues raised by Siemens Healthineers internal users. Interacts directly with internal users, technical and non-technical personnel, monitors and enforce SLA’s and follows incidents, requests, problems to resolution
Major Responsibilities:
• Responsible for creating, maintaining and troubleshooting software packages in SCCM/Intune for new software deployments, software removals and software updates
• Definition, creation and technical testing of software packages including creating complex packages requiring Powershell or similar scripting technologies
• Releasing and monitoring software updates, patches and computer updates through SCCM/Intune
• Troubleshoot and resolve related incidents/requests/problems in the ticketing system
• Monitoring and maintaining relevant service related KPIs like patch level or client computer health status, act on compliance reports proactively
• Provide advanced troubleshooting, research root cause of problems, lead problem resolution by planning, building and rolling out solutions, escalate to other support groups and vendors’ support as necessary
• Resolve escalations, escalate to vendors as necessary (including case trading with the manufacturers/vendors)
• Work on international IT projects as a technical consultant for SCCM/Intune packaging related topics to implement, upgrade or improve the endpoint management infrastructure and related services
• Create and maintain related service documentations, user manuals, instructions and related knowledge base articles
• Develop, automate and implement operations best practices for software deployments
• Work in close cooperation with international project teams and other specialist IT departments
• Collaborate effectively and closely with IT stakeholders: L1, L2, L3 support groups and business stakeholders
• Maintain good relationship with internal customers and other support groups
• Maintain password, data, and system security for the environment according to IT processes and standards
Education / Experience:
Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent
• Technology certifications desirable
• Number of years related experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience
