Siemens Corporation is seeking a motivated individual for Tax Manager position serving our Digital Industries Software business. The position requires a team player that is highly organized, responsive, and flexible. One who can balance multiple projects using the digital tools of Siemens’ technology landscape to produce accurate and timely results in a fast-paced environment. The individual contributor role will have the flexibility with a hybrid work week near one of the following offices: Alpharetta, GA, Iselin, NJ or Plano, TX. Currently the team is working remote.

What are your responsibilities?

Prepare and review proforma federal returns using Corptax.

Prepare and review consolidated/combined state corporate income tax returns, using Corptax, in-house or by third party preparer, including state extensions and quarterly payment calculations.

Prepare and review federal consolidated return adjustments, such as intercompany eliminations, tax attributes and other complex tax computations.

Preparation and review of monthly and annual income tax provisions and Provision to Return analysis using Corptax Provision module.

Ensure the accuracy of tax returns, tax provisions and other required reports including retention of documentation supporting tax positions under examination by tax authorities.

Prepare international tax returns, such as Form 5471, Form 8858.

Interacts with the operating company’s personnel, third party advisors and taxing authorities on tax provision, compliance, planning and controversy issues.

Proactively seeks to streamline compliance process, and to create efficiencies through automation.

Proactively identifies tax planning opportunities.

Learn the organization’s business and contribute to problem resolution when issues are identified.

Required Experience, Knowledge and Education:

BS/BA in Accounting required. Master’s degree in Tax or Accounting preferred.

CPA preferred.

6 plus years of experience in preparing/reviewing consolidated federal and state corporate income tax returns required which includes 3 plus years of proven experience in public accounting.

Extensive technical and practical knowledge of corporate accounting for income taxes required.

Excellent organization and follow-up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all commitments.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Excellent digital literacy with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat required. Experience with Corptax Software preferred, with experience in SAP, analytical tools like Alteryx, and dashboard tools like Tableau being an additional plus.
