Then come and join our global team as Regulatory Compliance Manager, Product Environmental Protection and EcoDesign.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You take independent responsibility for the global monitoring, tracking, evaluation and impact assessment of product-related environmental regulations and standards, as well as respective demands coming from customers, investors, NGOs and the public
  • You autonomously drive internal data collection for the evaluation and provide support in deriving strategies on how compliance and business benefits could be achieved
  • You proactively identify legal exemptions and derogations that would be needed for our business to comply and/or to not lose innovation power, and you provide support in the development of advocacy plans, position papers and outreach materials to achieve those exemptions and derogations
  • You develop or support the development of processes and tools to comply with new product-related environmental requirements
  • You collaborate with other companies in trade associations and represent Healthineers in front of legislators, NGOs or other relevant stakeholders
  • You keep the relevant business functions and management informed of new developments and risks

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have successfully completed studies in the field of engineering, physics, chemistry, environmental sciences or comparable; additional qualifications in sustainability or management are preferred
  • You have several years professional experience in regulatory compliance in the electronics industry, preferably in medical technology
  • You have very good knowledge of product environmental regulations such as RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Batteries Directive and on Extended Producer Responsibilities
  • You have sound experience in analyzing those regulations against impact, detailed requirements and ways to comply
  • You have profound experience in developing position papers and in being the representative in industry associations and in meetings with regulators and authorities

  • You own it: You are passionate about sustainability / environmental protection with the ability to persuade and engage others by being empathetic, trustworthy, interculturally sensitive and acting with integrity
  • You possess proven analytical and critical-thinking skills, creativity, problem-solving, and implementation skills as well as a strong skillset for process and tool-design
  • You consistently exhibit a proactive approach with the idea to find solutions that fit the demands of Healthineers as well as external parties
  • Your ability to guide and develop cross-functional (virtual) teams in a dynamic environment allows you to drive change without authority
  • You have an affinity for tooling and feel comfortable in managing big data, while being able to cumulate the results and make them accessible for internal stakeholders
  • You have excellent skills (target group-specific) in English to communicate with your colleagues and you convince with your good German skills
