The Pathology Solution Architect is responsible for the construction of winning Managed Pathology customer solutions and solution messaging according to customer needs and responses to insights. The scope of solutions to be constructed will often be pan-pathology solutions involving a portfolio of Siemens products, 3rd party products and internal and external services.

This role covers the South region but may need to cover other areas of the UK as required.


  • Solution Strategy and Thought Leadership based on knowledge of strengths and weaknesses of competition. Use knowledge to advise MPS sales managers on the insights to leverage that can be uniquely solved / achieved using Siemens solutions.
  • Benefit and Payoff communication and messaging to customer stakeholders from a Clinical, Operational, Financial perspective. Construct and execute (together with MPS sales manager) a messaging matrix that ensures the highest possible value perception of the Siemens solution by all stakeholders against their own requirements, including items that are perceived as unique.
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Consulting Solutions (HCS) and internal and external providers of solution components to construct the solution and leverage their expertise directly with the customer if necessary.
  • Bid development: Total solution ownership when constructing and developing bids (including 3rd parties). The solution architect must work in a controlled, constructive and pro-active way with Business Management and HCS such that quality of tender responses are at the highest level. Ensure messaging and supporting technical responses shine through competitively within tender responses.  Construct complimentary 3rd party solutions that share key deliverables against insights / customer key criteria so as to give Siemens the best possible chance of winning bids. Construct tender presentations such that the messaging is reflective of both the customer's situation and the clear unique benefits of the Siemens solution. 
  • Market understanding:  Ensure sufficient understanding of the deliverables of the Siemens solutions with respect to competition and customer stakeholders.

Skills & Experience:

  • Candidate must have prior experience product managing a complex product line, preferable within the Diagnostics field
  • Degree or relevant professional qualification
  • Formal marketing training e.g. certificate or diploma in Marketing or equivalent relevant experience  
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Significant experience of working in the Clinical Diagnostics Marketplace, with experience of marketing and communications.
  • Proven experience in responsibility for product launch and life cycle management
  • Experience of managing and leading without authority.
