Job Description

Join our Transactional Accounting team at Siemens Financial Services in the Americas and together we will make big strides in changing the accounting landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Support month end closing activities and account reconciliations
  • Post and process journal entries
  • Support with fulfilling of auditor’s requests
  • Identify areas of improvement and help implementing advanced solutions
  • Support ongoing accounting projects
  • Support implementation of new subledger to support a new line of business (purchase of receivables)
  • Collaborate across the entire organization to ensure smooth closing processes for multiple legal entities
  • Assure immaculate books and records within area of responsibility

Qualification:

You will need 3+ years of experience in accounting for Accountant role

You will need 5+ years of experience in accounting for Sr. Account role.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant experience in those fields
  • Ability to understand broad based accounting, controlling and financial concepts. Working knowledge of financial reporting (IFRS or US GAAP)
  • At least intermediate MS Excel skills. Experience with advanced data analytics software (e.g., Alteryx, KNIME, Qlik Sense, SAC, Tableau or similar) is a plus
  • Demonstrate a strong learning attitude
  • A big picture mindset to understand and explain major developments to quickly cover ad-hoc requests
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Experience with financing instruments like loans, bonds, and leases is a plus
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written) within the team and cross-functionally
  • Being comfortable with changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to and put forth new ideas to further improve the accounting organization
