What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:

As part of the Siemens Energy and Performance Services (EPS) portfolio team, the ESCO portfolio manager role will serve as a subject matter expert to develop, deploy and support energy efficiency applications for Siemens Smart Infrastructure Performance Contracting (PC) business. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background along with significant experience in the Performance Contracting environment specific to energy efficiency. As manager of the ESCO portfolio, individual will have oversight and responsibility for the monitoring and support of Siemens existing ESCO portfolio technologies, as well as the evaluation, development, and adoption of new product and service content to support our growing ESCO business. Additional responsibility will include driving engineering excellence and productivity as related to the development and implementation of the ESCO portfolio through a variety of initiatives.


Responsibilities:

The ESCO Portfolio Manager will be a key contributor to the growth of Siemens Smart Infrastructure ESCO business. Serving as the senior technical resource to the EPS portfolio organization, the role will drive portfolio growth, adoption of new and existing technologies, and training for field energy engineers, and will support the EPS business in driving order intake. The individual will focus on the following primary activities and projects:

  • Support portfolio development and adoption for the ESCO sub-segment of Siemens Energy Performance Services (EPS) business, including development and support of EPS offerings, support of new-service roll-outs, tool and initiative development and field engineering/operations training.
  • Track and maintain database of new and emerging energy optimization technologies both internal to Siemens (Corporate R&D) as well as third-party vendor technologies suitable for inclusion in ESCO contracts.
  • Development and delivery of training content supporting portfolio adoption including technical and sales support presentations, webinar content. Must be comfortable presenting as a technology expert.
  • Develop pilot testing procedures, overseeing pilot testing, results validation, recommendations for product improvement and adoption or rejection for business inclusion.
  • When necessary, perform on-site testing of HVAC, lighting, power, or control systems in existing building in conjunction with onsite Siemens resources, O&M or contractor personnel
  • Create & maintain detailed and accurate pilot project records, including data, documentation with detailed notes, recommendations for installations, cautions/what to watch out for, best practices and lessons learned.
  • Develop and refine methodologies/tools, and standards in product installations and make improvements in field standards for these new technologies as we integrate them into our portfolio
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations on technologies for recommendations for a variety of audiences

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with engineering and project design in the ESCO market
  • Expert in M&V methods and monitoring technologies
  • Strong, executive level communication skills. 
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, and experience with energy and sustainability 
  • Exposure to new portfolio product development and implementation is preferred.
  • Experience with and comfort in a multi-dimensional matrix team environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in varied environments and teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited university or other equivalent is required. MS in engineering or similar technical field preferred.
  • 10 years minimum experience, 15 preferred.
  • Engineering experience developing or supporting performance-based projects and/or energy services. Proficiency in institutional, industrial and commercial building technologies
  • Expertise in a range of building types. Preference for higher education, healthcare, K-12 education, municipal, HUD, and data centers. Experience in central utility plants and industrial markets a plus.
    Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED, or similar accreditation preferred.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
  • Developed presentation and communication skills to effectively communicate verbally and in writing at all professional levels within an organization are needed.

Candidate should be located in a major US city with access to an airport. Up to 25% travel is expected.

The base salary range for this position in Colorado is 102K - 140K and the annual incentive target is 15% of base salary
