The position is based in our Nottingham office, working under the Siemens new ‘normal’ hybrid working pattern, which means we can work flexibly, 2/3 days in the office and the rest remote.

Taking full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of complex projects (typically with significant business, technical, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies). Adopts and adapts project management methods and tools, selecting appropriately from plan-driven/predictive approaches or more adaptive (iterative and agile) approaches. Ensures that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained. Monitors and controls resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manages expectations of all project stakeholders. Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
 
• Leads Project Management team, developing individuals and assigning tasks based on aptitude and availability
• Delivers to time and cost large, complex projects and programmes to support business objectives
• Agile coach and mentor, able to share experience of agile practices and drive adoption across all change activities.
 
What you need to make real what matters.

• Project Leadership experience
• Technical Team direction experience
• Sector experience - has worked in the Energy and/or Utilities sector with knowledge of UK energy industry, Smart Metering, Smart Grid, Asset Management, Field Services, Resource Planning
• Stakeholder and budget management
• Strategic thinking and selling ideas and concepts
• Information management best practices, controls and standards
• Financially astute and commercial awareness.
• 10+ years delivering software development projects. The ability to work with complex interactions across multiple systems is a key skill for this role
• Must be self-motivated and flexible, i.e. to temporarily assist work colleagues at short notice within own work area and other part of the UK.
• Degree educated or equivalent
• A project management qualification such as Prince2 or APMP is essential
• Agile accreditations such as Scrum master or Agile Project Management are essential
