The Pricipal Software Engineer will work on a new award-winning product for three-dimensional Integrated Circuit (3DIC) power/thermal signoff verification at Siemens EDA division.  Responsibilities include the design, development, and implementation of algorithms and software code to solve large systems such as on-chip power grid and system level power delivery network.

Responsibilities

  • Develop efficient and accurate models for IC behavior at advanced technology nodes
  • Design efficient methods/models to analyze reliability, electrical, and thermal effects in digital and analog circuits.
  • Architect and develop distributed solutions to solve large problems.
  • Work on the code of simulation/extraction/static-timing/thermal analysis

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required.
  • Strong mathematic knowledge of matrix and numerical algorithms is required.
  • Extensive coding experience in C/C++ is required.  
  • Electronic design automation experience is a plus.
  • Experience in circuit simulation and parasite extraction is a plus.
  • Experience in thermal analysis is a plus.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Experience in circuit simulation, and parasite extraction.
  • Knowledge of EDA design flow, LEF/DEF/Liberty/SDC.
  • Knowledge of thermal analysis, finite element method or finite volume method.
