What are my job responsibilities?

  • In your function as “Business Development Director (f/m/d) SMO Turnkey Asia-Pacific” you will successfully implement the global sales strategy for the Turnkey Business Unit and identify suitable sales strategies, partners and options for your assigned region
  • You will report directly to the Head of Turnkey Asia Pacific
  • Furthermore, you will build lasting relationships which add value with local customers, partner companies and regional decision-makers and operate as a "best known single point of contact".
  • In addition, you will set up the bid strategy, target pricing and overall objectives for the different sales leads in alignment with Global and Regional Heads
  • You will also monitor external stakeholders and interest groups during acquisition and execution phase.
  • You will perform competition monitoring and analysis to enhance our business growth development and strategy and during sales and bid stages, to better position Siemens Mobility

What do I need to qualify for this role?

  • You have a completed degree (masters) in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • We are looking for people with multiple years of specialist professional experience in international sales involving highly complex projects, preferably in rail turnkey business (with SPC, EPC, O&M, etc.).
  • In addition, you have solid know-how of business and the market intelligence (Analytics, business processes, decision-making), you are confident, having interpersonal and influencing skills even at the highest government/ external stakeholder level with sound tactical skills.
  • Furthermore, you are always aware of the impact and implications of your business area.
  • In your previous positions you were able to successfully demonstrate that your contract negotiations and formulations meeting the most accurate standards, specifications, and processes
  • You must be business-fluent in English. Other languages (German) will be an added advantage
  • The position also requires regular travel across the region of ASP
