We are looking for a talented application engineer, passionated about asset performance management, cloud and IoT-based infrastructures, reliability and smart diagnostics. You will become part of the Simcenter Reliability and Safety product management team dealing with the Simcenter product roadmap for a product dealing with Risk-based design for optimal asset availability and maintenance at Siemens Digital Industry Software with HQ in Leuven, Belgium. This product will run close to the asset in operation (getting IOT data) and will make use of simulation models and a risk twin in order to monitor the health of the operational asset, perform diagnosis and corrective actions.

Within your role you will be able to shape the Siemens product offering for methods and tools supporting the asset performance management processes applied at different industries like automotive, AS&D, … You will use your expertise to realize a first in class product helping the Siemens customers to improve their methods and processes optimizing the asset availability. This covers both the methods and tools, but also the realization of the digital process and backbone.

This product offering will be a combination of products offered by partners and different methods and tools offered by Siemens Digital software (Simulation and Test solutions, Simcenter, Mindsphere, Mendix, etc).

We need specific competences and experience in RAMS, and Asset performance Management and their methods and processes.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Drive the product from an incubation stage to a market ready product
  • Specify and drive the product roadmap for Risk-based design for optimal asset availability and maintenance
  • Spell out the positioning of the product offering to the Siemens sales organization
  • Generate sales enablement material (presentation and demonstration material)
  • Engage with customers to explain the added value of our offering
  • Reach out the other stakeholder to build a joined global Siemens offering
  • Collaborate with Siemens internal and external SLM solution owners
  • Contribute to the overall Siemens ASP/SLM solution

You'll be the product manager that we need if:

  • You master the APM and RAMS processes
  • Understand the market and how competitive products are positioned
  • Are able to build relationships with stakeholders to understand market problems and priorities to form product roadmaps 
  • Produce product collateral to enable go to market activities and to promote your product 
  • Collaborate with the product management teams across STS to communicate requirements and coordinate deployment of new licensing models in the Simcenter tools 

Qualifications include: 

  • Experience working in a software environment with experience in technical product management and its processes  
  • Highly motivated, able to show initiative and accountability within a dynamic work environment.
  • An ability to find innovative approaches to problem solving and to show initiative in overcoming challenges 
  • Demonstrated experience in creating product vision and strategy, including understanding the market, target personas, and problems they face 
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams, regardless of reporting structure 
  • A strong team player and creative thinker who can work with multi-cultural, dispersed technical teams. 
  • An open and flexible approach with a willingness to adapt to the changing nature of this newly formed organization
