Within the newly formed eMobility business, we are seeking for a qualified candidate for the role as Contract Manufacturing New Product Introduction Engineer / Sustaining Engineer.

What part will you play?

In your new role you will be responsible for coordinating across SI E and external manufacturing facilities, including a multi-tier supplier base, to ensure proper delivery of products for customers. And you will report directly to the head of global Contract Manufacturing within global SCM of eMobility.

You manage the allocated project through structured gated process from concept/quotation to production-handover.

You plan, coordinate, implement and finalize projects according to specifications and deadlines, while maintaining the project performance indices i.e., Quality, Cost & Delivery.

Technical decisions/guidance and flow down of projects requirements to Contract Manufacturers (CM) / Suppliers is part of your daily business. These include (but not limited to): tool and fixture manufacturing designs, machining requirements, drawings, CAD models, Contract/Condition of Supply requirements.

You support of production line tooling and equipment to support manufacturing processes at our contract manufacturer.

You lead team meetings to facilitate communication between SI E and CM organizations and functions as required meeting program timing objectives.

You carry out PFMEA based process validation for new/existing manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.

Work with CM’s engineering team in preparation of Control documents/work instructions and providing technical support to production departments when necessary to complete your tasks

Your qualifications - well-founded and adequate:

  • Batchelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical. MS in Eng is preferred
  • Management experience as a production manager as well you have experience in setting up and scaling a volume production/production line.
  • Expertise in lean production, continuous improvement, and productivity management, and experience in working with electro mechanical manufacturing entities, metal fabricators, and the ability to develop and drive programs/KPIs towards manufacturing performance and capabilities.
  • Expertise in digitization tools for manufacturing and production plants.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as team building orientation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with customers and suppliers.
