Application Services Engineer

Job Description

Siemens has an exciting opportunity for an Application Services Engineer to join our Smart Infrastructure team based in Bayswater, Victoria. This role will be responsible for leading a team of subject matter experts to drive BMS service activities. This role governs, supports and represents the service activities of the business to achieve and maximise value driven results.

The Application Services Engineer will support and employ methodologies (includes customer perspectives, industry trends, competitive analysis, and technology disruptions) to deliver holistic service offerings, and enable customers to discover and understand how they can best apply Siemens BMS technology to achieve their business objectives. 

Key Responsibilities:
- Support customers in using (software) applications and solutions to the optimum extent. 
- Provide comprehensive training for using applications and solution focused on specific customer demand. 
- Deliver and maintain software and hardware releases, including training to Technicians on how to configure software applications to meet customer needs. 
- Act as an interface between customer and provider of application to solve customer problems and enhance the application with new features.
- Supporting Onsite Technicians with Remote Tools & Connections, as well as site attendance where needed
- Maintains an updated understanding of current best practice delivering and using designated tools and systems Customer and Stakeholder Management
- Provides domain expertise and reporting requirements for projects and service contracts 
- Maintain IT server environment to support customer software applications 
- Support pre-sales activities for network design & architecture for complex systems requiring an ICN
- Contribute to the designing, engineering, configuring, implementing, commissioning and supporting of ICT infrastructure (Server, Storage, Network, Virtual Platforms)
- Review of ICT server/storage/network designs across and contributing to Technical Risk Reviews 
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
