Position Title: Business Developer Electrical Products – Emerging Solutions

Location: North America USA/Possible Remote

Position Overview:

Siemens is looking for a Business Development Manager focused on Emerging Power Technologies. The candidate will work across Business Units, with R&D teams, and with end users to promote specific Siemens solutions powered by modern technology. This person will report to the Manager of Complex Projects Organization.

Candidate can live anywhere in North America so long as they are near a major airport.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have the ability to review complex bills of material & offer alternative solutions (bill of material optimization) to customers that drive incremental value over the competition.
  • Must have the ability to work across business units and across the industry to identify and incubate emerging digital-power solutions.
  • Ability to identify key stakeholders of the project design process & represent Siemens products and technologies to those stakeholders.
  • Able to evaluate business opportunities & make recommendations on specifications, system design, and product application.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced degree & combination of 5+ years of sales/engineering experience.
    5 plus years’ experience with product solutions for construction applications.
  • Manage thru conflict & navigate discussions with various stakeholders that may or may not agree on a solution for a particular opportunity.
  • Self-starter & motivator who can create and maintain key customer relationships.
    Have a strong understanding of Medium & Low voltage power distribution.
  • Have a strong understanding and desire to drive emerging connected (IIoT) solutions.
    Working knowledge of the electrical industry and/or the specific markets listed.
  • Ability to travel 50%.

Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.
Individual must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
