Master Data Steward SAP - Manufacturing

Job Description

Siemens Industry is looking for a professional SAP Master Data Steward for our manufacturing facility. Our growing facilities produce high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment for the United States market. Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, powder coating and plating, final assembly, and quality tests.

This position is responsible for the data collection, management, analysis, and maintenance to ensure and improve quality and accuracy of our material master data that will effectively support our business processes.

• Possess a high-level of understanding of SAP Material Master Data (MM) and Production Planning (PP) modules; and a familiarity with Sales & Distribution (SD) and Financial Accounting (FI) modules.
• Perform audits, research, and analysis to determine gaps in plant-level master data.
• Maintains and updates plant-level material master data while coordinating corrective actions with production, purchasing, planning, support functions, and other plants regarding their respective master data components.
• Supports research and instruction on current SAP functionality, as appropriate assists in the development of enhancements/automation of SAP tools for SCM functions
• Capable analyzing, evaluating, prioritizing, and solving master data deficiencies that have operational impacts; able to articulate the impact to process owners and drive changes to reduce future deficiencies.
• Nature of duties and responsibilities are primarily on-site to validate virtual actions in SAP, support the physical manufacturing process, and collaborate with other on-site colleagues
• Works closely with purchasing, planning, manufacturing, fabrication, and logistics teams to understand internal processes and learn about opportunities related to data.
• Analyze large amount of data to develop master data’s Rosetta stone by support functions.
• Promote continuous improvement.
• Possess an understanding of Information Technologies (IT) topics like networking, configuration/use of peripherals, basic computer hardware
• Willingness and ability to learn and grow the responsibilities of the role based on greater understanding of our business

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- 2-4 years of experience with the manufacturing value-chain, to include fabrication [and be able to relate this concept to virtual processes within SAP].
- Experience on fast paced business.
- BS/BA/BSE in related discipline. Vocationally trained and experienced (semi) professional positions with extensive knowledge of a range of specific processes and systems could be substituted for bachelor’s degree. Similarly, 2-years professional experience with basic knowledge in a technical field could be a substitute for a bachelor’s degree
- Advanced hands-on knowledge of Office 365 Applications with a high-level of proficiency in Excel
- Possess the maturity, communication skills, and business acumen to represent the plant (and business unit) during routine meetings with internal Siemens’ technology/ERP colleagues.
- Willingness and ability to learn and grow the responsibilities of the role based on greater understanding of our business
