What part will you play?

As Business Unit Sustainability Manager (f/m/d) you are responsible for establishing, supporting the development and delivery of the business’ sustainability strategy whilst contributing towards maintaining Siemens’ leading role as a responsible business partner and driving Sustainability as a Business initiatives.
  • You will establish, implement and drive a sustainability concept for the Business Unit, where you also will develop in alignment with PLM and Sales opportunities for Sustainability as a Business
  • You will coordinate and provide the implementation of the DEGREE framework and the accurate data for internal and external reporting (e.g. EU Taxonomy)
  • Furthermore, you will represent sustainability within the Business to ensure it is considered in decisions and the unit’s sustainability approach in all relevant Siemens internal and external meetings (e.g. customer events)
  • You will also establish a sustainability network within the Business Unit and foster sustainability in our process house, especially in Operations, Procurement, Logistics and Product Lifecyle processes
  • You will manage the collection and reporting of KPI’s
  • And you will drive sustainability thought leadership in Electrification and Automation and ensure sustainability compliance in relevant ISO Certifications
 In achieving the above, as a successful candidate you will also be required to:
  • Work independently but also in close collaboration with all stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Successful leading and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Complete specific deliverables (e.g: plans, programs, customer requests, etc.)
  • Prepare for and contribute to regular progress reports and meetings as well as prepare and co-ordinate trainings and other briefing materials
  • Ensure publishing and customer marketing together with Communication

What you need to make real what matters.
  • You have a master´s degree in related sustainability field (e.g.: environmental management or engineering, supply chain management, business management) 
  • You have long-term experience of sustainability in a commercial and social environment
  • You understand sustainability in the context of global business deliveries, ideally with specialist knowledge in one related field (e.g.: environmental management, environmental engineering, supply chain management, responsible sourcing) with general knowledge of others
  • You have experience in the medium voltage business, grid knowledge, supply chain management and/or manufacturing
  • You are characterized by the passion to drive and establish a new topic into an organization
  • You speak English on a professional level
