International Senior Account Manager - Data Center

The Smart Infrastructure Division of Siemens is one of the leading global suppliers of products, integrated system solutions, and services for the sustainable, reliable, and efficient transmission, distribution, and control of energy.

You will be working within the Smart Infrastructure division and part of the business unit promoting Electrification and Automation. As a result of Siemens success in the market and the ambition to grow further, Siemens are looking for an International Senior Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with existing (international) Data Center clients.

In this role you will oversee a portfolio of assigned clients. Among them are leading Data Center operators, consultants, GC and major M&E contractors. You will be required to secure business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities and clients. You will be a member of the Siemens international Center of Competence for Data Centers, which is located in the Netherlands. This group is purely focused on the Data Center market providing MV LV project solutions. Our clients are active globally.

The role will be home based, ideally around the London area. This role will involve travel to customer sites, and some occasional international travel.

The business unit Medium Voltage and Systems is responsible for the design and implementation of medium voltage and low voltage solutions and projects. Within the Data Center Industry your focus will be on the sales of these solutions and projects. Basic knowledge of electrical power distribution is expected.

This in combination with Data Center specific knowledge and extensive market relationships would make you the perfect candidate.

In this role, you will:

  • Further develop  the UK residing end-clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Continue to develop of global named accounts
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Develop close relationships with Siemens (international) operating capture and execution teams.

What skills and experience will you bring to the role?

  • We are looking for a customer obsessed professional with extensive knowledge of the sales of power transmission and distribution systems and, or projects ranging from medium voltage down to low voltage
  • Preferably a bachelor’s or master’s degree or HNC. You will have the ability to communicate with all influential key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including those at executive and board level.  
  • A proven ability to juggle multiple projects at any one time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail and have an energic and entrepreneurial approach and mindset. A passion for lifelong learning and driving change is a must!
