As a Director of Inventory Management, you will be responsible for:  

  • Overseeing, planning, and directing all aspects of inventory management policies, objectives, and initiatives
  • Developing standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency
  • Involvement in inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations
  • Developing and implementing inventory tools and system for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices
  • Creating functional strategies and specific objectives for the Inventory and Returns specialist teams and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the Tool center and our partners deliver on all KPI’s for the field, our calibration partner Simco, our 3PL provider DHL and CSML.
  • Leading the Inventory specialist team, the Service Hub team and the Memphis Returns and Tool Center team

  • Ensures the teams that report to the Director position are engaged, provided feedback, and kept up to date on a regular basis

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Inventory Management or in finance is preferred; Military and/or other technical education, experience and degrees will be considered based on professional experience
  • Ability to work with internal and external clients and stakeholders to develop and recommend solutions; negotiate and compromise in a professional manner as needed
  • Minimum of five years of business experience working with inventory management or finance
  • Minimum of five years of managing a team
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to identify, manage and solve complex problems
  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups and teams
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
