Mechanical Design Engineer (OHE/OCS/OLE) – Overhead contact line systems – Railway Electrification

Job Description

Your new tasks – Challenging and future oriented

·  Preparation and analyze of mechanical design drawings for overhead contact line components and part lists (for overhead contact line systems in the field of railway electrification) considering the customer specifications and the Siemens’ regulations and international standards

·  Methodic design of COL (Contact line) with the AutoCAD and 3D-tool “Creo” elements and modelling of OCS components

·  Maintaining of product data/documentations in SAP

·  Elaboration of conceptional solutions and finding answers to ambitious constructive requirements

·  Technical support, analysis of technical problems and answering of technical inquiries in collaboration
with the manufacturing, the project engineering team and the project management

·  Planning and controlling of one’s own engineering work packages in view of date, cost and quality aspects

·  Planning and performance of Factory Acceptance Tests or mechanical components for external suppliers

·  Product support in view of standardization and documentation

Your qualification – Well-grounded and adequate

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
  • Preferable 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design of contact line systems/components
  • Knowledge of mechanical construction design and welding constructions
  • CAD-tools Autocad and Creo Elements or other solid 3D modelling program
  • Knowledge of OHE/OCS/OLE Overhead Contact line system design
  • Knowledge of relevant European and International Standards
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering (safety related for people)
  • Knowledge of engineering processes
  • Experience in international project working environment
  • Intercultural experience and good English language
  • High level of customer and quality orientation
  • Experience in project realization, preferably in an international project environment
