The Data Analytics value center at Siemens is one of the main corporate IT functions that owns all things data in a global context. We enable the whole Siemens world to be more data-driven by providing data platforms, products, and skills on a global level.From on-premises to multiple clouds, SAP HANA to Snowflake, Tableau to Power BI – we work with a large variety of technologies and across most of the business domains and verticals. Your new role – challenging and future-oriented 

We’re looking for a Cloud Architect to help us shape the future of the data platforms at Siemens. In this role you will:
  • You work independently with one or more cloud platforms (we’re mostly an AWS shop)
  • You are responsible for Building and the management of complex data pipelines (streaming and batch) on a cloud native and serverless infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • You Are independently designing data catalogs and data validations processes to ensure the quality and consistency
  • R&D in IoT data patterns to propose ways to improve data quality, reliability & efficiency of the whole system
  • Responsible for data lakes maintenance: Expansion, Monitoring, Automation, Cyber Security and Disaster Recovery
To apply for this role, you should have:
  • You have a Masters or Bachelor degree in a technical field, preferably in Computer Science or in a related technical field or equivalent longtime work practical experience
  • Solid & practical knowledge of cloud platform services
  • Additionally, you have at least three years of working experience
  • Knowledge of cloud data warehouse platforms like Snowflake or Redshift (database knowledge in general is valued)
  • Experience in engineering data pipelines and its related services (think Glue, python/scala, dbt, Airflow, etc.)
  • Experience in version control systems (think github/gitlab)
  • Ideally first experience in setting up enterprise service offerings
  • You bring advanced analytical skills and ability to work independently and within a team
  • You bring very good German and English skills
