The Motion Control (DI MC) business unit is one of the world's leading providers of motion control products, systems, solutions and services. We manufacture our motors, frequency converters and control units in 13 plants worldwide.

With your expertise and your personal network, you will enrich our Global Manufacturing Team. We are a recognized sparring partner of the segments and shape the future structure of the BU Supply Chain.

In addition, you will proactively penetrate complex issues and matrix structures and derive the best strategy from them together with our partners. The basis for this is formed by central footprint specifications from projects and programs of SAG, DI and MC (e.g. DEGREE). You take these into account together with the expectations of a wide variety of stakeholders (C-level) in our projects. You communicate professionally with all cross-functional contact persons from plants, product management, R&D, administrative functions and FIN areas. What part will you play?
  • You are responsible for defining and implementing the manufacturing strategy in the production network. To this end, you will develop and evaluate scenarios for future production and logistics networks and derive the strategy from them in coordination with top management.
  • In addition, you will coordinate sub-project managers and department heads in the implementation of the subprojects, in the identification of further improvement potentials and in the regular communication with the management
  • Together with other specialist departments (cross-functional), you define the SCM strategy of future products and control and coordinate the plants during the production launch
  • Furthermore, you will support and coach specialist departments of various plants on productivity projects and moderate meetings and workshops in a goal-oriented manner and present and document projects and their results in a management-oriented form
What you need to make real what matters.
  • The basis for your success is a university degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or industrial engineering, ideally successfully completed with a focus on production technology
  • In addition, you have several years of consulting experience or many years of professional and project experience on strategic issues, ideally in a production-related environment and international context (Global Manufacturing Network)
  • Experience in the design of production and material flows in complex plant environments according to lean aspects
  • You also have many years of professional experience in the management of cross-departmental projects, including the application of project management methods and management-oriented presentations.
  • You have excellent analytical and conceptual skills and a strong entrepreneurial mindset
  • Presentation and business fluent German and English skills, as well as ideally further language skills are required
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management at various levels (C-level)
  • Negotiation skills and ability to create win-win situations
  • Willingness to travel within the framework of the projects
  • Enthusiasm, high social competence and resilience
