Job Description

As an Electrical Power Systems Software Engineering (Engenheiro de Desenvolvimento de Sistemas Pleno) in Curitiba – PR, you will develop, implement, and perform complex technical assignments related to advanced Power Systems software applications specifically by developing applications for Energy Mgmt. & Energy Market software systems.


The position requires effective use, development and software modification related to user interface for Network Grid Control Center and SCADA systems used by utilities to manage distribution network grid – LV, MV and HV network equipment’s – supporting, executing and reviewing high quality customer commercial projects delivered on schedule, within budget and meets or exceeds customer satisfaction expectations.

Your Challenges

·         Highly organized and efficient;

·         Promote and demonstrate best practices and high-quality software development processes including development of new code and maintenance of existing code;

·         Writes documents for new project tasks, such as Design notes, testing procedures, etc.;

·         Provide effort estimates to Project Manager/Project Engineer for new project tasks;

·         Support test and continuous integration activities;

·         Ability to work independently and be self-motivated;

·         Ability to work effectively in a team environment;

·         Strong oral and written communication skills;

•      Support after sales and SLA with customer support.


What We Need From You

·         Be the first point of contact for cybersecurity topics in your area of responsibility;

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent;

·         3+ years of relevant work experience in Software Engineering, Project Deployment and R&D solutions;

·         Experience in cybersecurity (e.g., Anti-virus detection, PKI, SIEM, TLS/SSL) and knowledge of common standards and processes;

·         Knowledge of industrial control systems (ICS), Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT);

·         Initiative, creativity, analytical skills, strategic thinking, and ability to work in international teams (within Siemens and with external clients);

·         Valid CISSP, CISA certification OR equal knowledge is desirable;

·         Basic experience in project management;

·         Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment;

·         Proficient in written and spoken English (including security terminology) combined with good interpersonal skills and attention to detail;

·         Platforms: Windows and Linux;

·         Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with thesis or related work in power systems is a plus.
