Position Overview

Siemens Smart Infrastructure - Building Products is looking for a Territory Sales Manager (TM) focused on Channel Sales for Building Automation -Talon. The territory includes Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri. Home base for the candidate is flexible within the region, with a requirement to live near a major airport.  Travel expectation is 50%+.  The TM will report to the Sr. National Sales Manager and will have no direct reports.

You will represent one of the leading brands in Building Automation and join a highly motivated and successful team.

Key TM Responsibilities Include:

  • Independently manage territory to achieve profitable growth and volume requirements
  • Present, promote and sell Automation solutions to existing and prospective partners
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Develop partnerships with existing customers to increase share of wallet, while prospecting new value-added partners (VAPs) to increase market share
  • Strategic business development and onboarding of new partners
  • Develop a proactive response to customer needs and business priorities utilizing Siemens resources and operating in a time efficient and organized manner
  • Define strategies and business plans to increase market growth across the account base and to meet or exceed corporate sales targets
  • Monitor sales activity and conduct regular reviews with partners
  • Become a trusted advisor and solution provider to our partners by demonstrating industry knowledge and automation portfolio
  • Perform to plan. Set weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals for overall sales, sales calls, product mix/segmentation, new prospects, training, as well as many other sales metrics. 


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
All qualified candidates MUST have the following:

  1. Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Minimum 5+ years of direct outside sales experience
  3. Excellent relationship building skills
  4. Account Management and Business Development experience
  5. Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills
  6. Ability to travel 50% of the time.
  7. Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing
  8. Individual must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
