Siemens Large Drives is looking for a Technical Account Manager for its Global Account Siemens Energy AG, to be hired with a permanent contract, for its premises in Nuremberg.  He/she will be responsible for the global customer business. 

As Technical Account Manager for Siemens Energy, you are member of LDAs Headquarter Account Team. You have responsibility for bid preparation in the project acquisition phase for our international projects and for local business with this major account.

You will be a proactive, shaping, and trusted partner for our client. Your responsibilities will include:

In the tactical selling stage:

  • You build up a strong relationship at various customer levels; you influence and convince the main stakeholders and the customer’s decision makers of our companies leading edge motors and drives technology, our quality and long-term support capabilities
  • You review the project pipeline regularly throughout different stages with the customer and follow up on opportunities
  • You create effective competitive offering approaches
  • You under broad direction, apply value selling methodology, tools, and processes to improve sales effectiveness on complex projects and pursuits
  • You have knowledge of the market and the competitors’ offering
  • You acquire competitive information through win/loss analysis

In the operational bidding stage:

  • Takeover of the tender documents and detailed quotation planning
  • Analysis and evaluation of customer requirements, specifications and task clarification
  • Coordination of the internal bidding parties and various interfaces including regions, factories, engineering, commercial and risk assessment in order to deliver the bid on time
  • Preparation/coordination of the various internal release steps and preparation of management decisions (in LoA meetings)
  • Preparation of the external technical offer including comments & deviations
  • Clarification meetings with the customer in both, budgetary and firm offer phase
  • After order entry you prepared detailed information (technical, commercial and documentation scope) for handover to order management
  • You support communication for ongoing projects in execution and in case of escalations

Your profile.

We are looking for a candidate with the following features:

  • You have successfully completed a degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field of study
  • You have at least 3 years' experience in operative sales in MV/ HV Motors and Drives 
  • You show strong customer orientation and are used to serve Motors & Drives customers 
  • You have expert level knowledge of Medium Voltage Drive, Motor and Generators 
  • You have good knowledge of (technical) English, written and spoken
  • You show sharp selling skills (internal and external)
  • You manifest a strong orientation to reach your targets on time
  • You demonstrate business and financial acumen; problem-solving capabilities;
  • Your profile is rounded off by a methodical approach, the ability to work in a team and on your own initiative
