Job Description:

Our Sales Organization is looking for a Program Manager for our associate’s programs, where you will help to develop our next generation of Account Managers and Application Engineers. You will collaborate with Sales and Technical managers to define sales needs, candidate development goals, and program needs. We are looking for someone passionate about mentoring and leading the next generation of customer-focused stars. You will have demonstrated success by establishing and achieving measurable goals in a dynamic, high-tech environment.

The program will combine training and on-the-job learning with rotations onto different sales and technical teams. The cohort will comprise candidates from various backgrounds (sales or business degrees from college, post-grads, engineering degrees) with limited professional experience. Each cohort will be trained and mentored for 18 months, resulting in them graduating into a Sales or Technical career at Siemens EDA.

Responsibility Areas:

  • Be responsible for a cohort of Candidates, teaching, mentoring, assessing performance, and providing continuous feedback.
  • Collaborating with the Sales Manager(s), Technical Managers, and Program Owner(s) in defining Candidate development goals and program needs.
  • Partner with Sales, Technical, and HR on priorities and lead on the design of regional hiring plans.
  • Partner with the Global Learning and development function to plan and deliver training programs.
  • Act as an escalation point for managers handling sensitive and confidential matters and resolving complex issues.
  • Ensure diversity is considered appropriately, encouraging business leaders to engage in and support diversity objectives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of creating events/activities for the cohort
  • Coordinate placements onto teams, assessing best fit, handling concerns, and coaching
  • Interact with engineers, sales, and senior management daily
  • Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles.
  • Develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems while keeping a watchful eye on timelines and costs.
  • Ensure consistency in training and track exceptions for follow up
Requirements and Experience:
  • 2-5 years of successful experience in Project/Program/People management, or equivalent experience in a related field, e.g., recruiter, intern coordinator
  • Knowledge of diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace, including the hiring process.
  • Proven ability to effectively build consensus within the team and among disparate stakeholders
  • Mentorship experience - ideally with employees in their early careers. Passionate about mentoring and leading the next generation of stars.
  • Ability to manage the day-to-day oversight of the program
  • Ability to set schedules, meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and work as part of a team
Successful Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates skill and maturity to identify and interact with stakeholders, assess their needs, provide metrics and status reports as needed, and manage stakeholders’ expectations
  • Ability to lead others through processes and shared responsibilities in a dynamic, high-tech environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; capable of influencing without authority and driving streamlined decision-making
  • Outstanding organizational/time management, presentation, written and oral communication skills
  • Love of teaching and a desire to grow emerging professionals
