Strategic Purchasing Director industrial site f/m

Job Description

All over the world, our advances in the fields of Industry, Infrastructure, Transport and Health are transforming the daily lives of billions of people.

The agility and resilience of the supply chain created under your aegis guarantees the continuity of our Production as well as its competitiveness...

At our industrial Haguenau site, a leader in designing, manufacturing and marketing of gas analyzers, flow meters and measuring devices, you create strategic partnerships with our suppliers to build a resilient supply chain, and lead your teams around both economic and CSR objectives.

Your next playground and its challenges…

As a member of the site’s Management Committee, in close collaboration with the HQ and your international counterparts as well as with the local Quality, R&D and Logistics teams, you define the Purchasing strategy of the site (PVO 1xx M€, mainly on mechanical and electromechanical commodities). A good vision is not enough: you manage its roll out in the volatile environment that we are going through (who anticipated the COVID crisis and its effects on the global Supply Chain?) and an 'end to end' logic: while the control of expenses remains important, it must be aligned with the overall optimization of the value chain and our high objectives in terms of social responsibility. In this regard, did you know that we are aiming for a neutral carbon footprint by 2030?

Part of the keys to success in this position lies in your ability to strengthen cross-functional relations between the Haguenau site and the HQ teams, in particular in order to develop your local strategy in connection with global purchasing ones.

Guarantor of the Purchasing processes and their respect (we have a very strong maturity in terms of Compliance), you continue the efforts in terms of digitization of the function.

To carry out these missions, you can count on a motivated team made up of a dozen buyers. Project management, monitoring of the panel of partners and performance... the team is very autonomous, but will be happy to be supported from time to time by a high-level negotiator on sensitive or strategic issues.

To be filled on a permanent contract, this position is based at our industrial site in Haguenau (67).

Keys to success:

Engineer or Business school degree, a solid experience in the field of Strategic Purchasing has given you very good legal bases (commercial law, customs regulations, transport of goods, etc.). You are known for stepping back on situations, having a good stress management and a mindset for an agile way of working. Listening and leadership, a strong desire to play as a team as well as a zest of creativity to identify new negotiation levers are other skills people that know you could mention.

Because the position is immersed in an international environment, fluency in French, English and German is essential (the Division's HQ is based in Karlsruhe, where Marco, Uwe and other colleagues are already waiting for you to get to know each other and start new projects together).

Why build with us?

At the heart of the current business challenges of one of our most beautiful production sites in France, you will experience a full and undoubtedly exciting part of your career, with the possibility of leaving your mark.

Beyond the stimulating international context, this position will be of particular interest to those who like to optimize, negotiate and grow teams.
