Then come and join our global team as Senior System Engineer with focus on Model Based System Engineering and support us in the transition to model-based development.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You act as a change agent in the Healthineers units and drive the method change to a MBSE based approach here.
  • You will use your methodological knowledge to shape pilot projects in the various Siemens Healthineers units in the modeling of modality systems and modular components as well as in the transition to model-based development
  • You will extend the Healthineers-specific modeling environment (Domain Specific Language) step by step with the findings from the academic community (state of the art research), best practices from other industries and also based on the requirements from the Healthineers modeling projects.
  • You design concepts to enable an overarching interaction in the "end2end" PLM value stream across all relevant applications (e.g. Cameo/MagicDraw, Polarion, MentorCapitel, Teamcenter).
  • You are responsible for training concepts and maintain them step by step with the innovations of the Healthineers DSL in order to train the MBSE methodology in all Healthineers units.
  • You will work across teams on requirements definition, solution design and all subsequent phases of successful implementation

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have successfully completed a technical degree or comparable training and also have many years of professional experience in model-based development, ideally in medical technology;
  • You have expert knowledge in modeling methods and languages (UML, SysML) and relevant tools (especially Cameo/MagicDraw)
  • You have proven your expert knowledge in the creation of domain specific languages (DSLs) in the past, especially in Cameo/MagicDraw
  • You have very good knowledge in the introduction of model-based processes in organizations and have successfully accompanied this transition
  • Extensive knowledge in the area of creation and validation of models, as well as their implementations in software and system architectures, complete your profile
