About the role

Smart Infrastructure is the world market leader for safe, energy efficient and environmentally friendly buildings and infrastructure. Our Electrification & Automation team offers solutions and services for protection, automation, and control of the electrical installations in medium voltage networks.

We are looking for dedicated and talented people who tackle ever-changing challenges, customer needs, and questions from colleagues with clever concepts and creativity.

Your role will be supporting Sales team in all commercial, contractual and finance related aspects to implement a winning bid strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Working independently on all commercial topics within the scope of the commercial quotation process and analyze and comment on prequalification documents and invitations to tender

  • Support Sales team to prepare quotation calculations and commercial quotation documents

  • Together with the contract and legal team analyze contract and financial conditions, facilitate to set up a contract and claim management at tender stage

  • Ensure bid documentation is in line with the mandatory internal and external requirements

  • Participate in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions within the applicable guidelines, and in coordination with the relevant departments (e.g. Sales, Legal, Finance, Insurance, Tax, etc.)

  • Support accurate and transparent costing and stringent implementation of pricing strategy

  • Together with the bid team, support the identification, evaluation and assessment of risks and opportunities, jointly define mitigation strategies and response plans and support in the execution of defined mitigation measures

  • Support accurate handover to the project execution team incl. order entry calculation and proper documentation reflecting all changes during tender stage

  • Credit worthiness check of important external stakeholders, particularly direct customers.


Qualifications and experiences

  • One of the following degrees in Finance, Business Administration, Economy, Law, or related fields

  • 3-5 years’ experience in commercial sales, contract management and customer negotiations


Personality and Skills:

  • Positive attitude and able to create win-win solutions when dealing with business conflict

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Good team player and able to work under pressure

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English due to multi-cultural working environment

  • Well-versed in PC Software / Applications
