Accounting Team Leader with IFRS (German language)

Salary from 2200 eur/month + variable part

We are looking for an experienced team leader who will manage and guide a structured accounting team for the EEA region. Leading a specialized accounting and closing team cross country in the following areas:

• Operational management of an accounting and closing team, leading and guidance according to IFRS, guidelines and procedures.
• Support IFRS team concerning complex accounting and closing tasks including the reflection in the respective IT system
• Implementation of accounting policies, guidelines and working instructions and adaption of related processes
• Process improvement and assisting in implementing system changes either due to global or local changes
• Preparation of IFRS statements for the respective legal entities, including monthly and quarterly IFRS closing, IFRS financial reporting for all stakeholders
• Cooperation with external and internal auditors
• Regular knowledge sharing and exchange, as well as performing trainings in either of one of the twin city locations Vienna and Bratislava.


We are covering a broad scope of accounting activities, such as:

· IFRS Reporting
· General Ledger
. Account Payables & Receivables
· Fixed Assets, IFRS16 
· Provisions and Accruals
· Projects Accounting and Revenue Recognition, IFRS15, FX Accounting
· Mergers & Acquisition projects


Required education, skills and personality requirements

Required education - University education (Bachelor's degree) 

Language skills
English - Upper intermediate (B2)
German - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

Double-entry bookkeeping - expert
Microsoft Excel - advanced
SAP – highly preferred
Number of years of experience on similar position – minimum 10 years accounting, minimum 4 years people management

Personality requirements and skills

Expertise:
university degree in the field of economics, preferred accounting, audit, finance
knowledge of international accounting standards IFRS
practical experience in the field of accounting and closing
