Within the newly formed eMobility business, we are seeking for a qualified candidate for the role as Process Planning & Manufacturing Engineer. 


Tasks and responsibilities

In your new role you will be responsible for implementation of superior manufacturing standards across internal manufacturing facilities, to ensure proper delivery of products for customers. And you will report directly to the head of global manufacturing excellence within global SCM of eMobility.

·       Analyzes product specifications and clarifies product requirements for SCM and manufacturing aspects with accountable R&D, Engineering and/or Product Management.

  • You plan, coordinate, implement and finalize projects according to specifications and deadlines, while maintaining the project performance indices i.e., Quality, Cost & Delivery

·       Plans equipment layout, tools and IT programs needed, and designs or contributes to design the manufacturing workflow. Cooperates in these aspects with other respective Engineers.

  • Analyzes manufacturing sequences during pilot series and test and analyzes manufacturability of pre-series samples. May recommend product changes and implements production amendments. 
  • Conducts improvements projects on site or unit level, and liaises with other engineering functions, external vendors, or service providers.
  • You lead team meetings to facilitate communication between organizations and functions as required meeting program timing objectives.
  • You carry out FMEA based process validation for new/existing manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.
  • The preparation of Control documents/work instructions and providing technical support to production departments when necessary complete your tasks

Your qualifications - well-founded and adequate

  • You have a master´s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechatronics or Manufacturing.
  • You have long-term management experience as a production manager as well you have experience in setting up and scaling a serial production.
  • You have expertise and experience in lean production, continuous improvement, productivity and change management tools.
  • You have expertise in digitization tools for manufacturing and production plants.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as team building orientation
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with customers and suppliers.
  • Very good English and Portuguese language skills complete your profile
