Introduction

For Siemens Technology (T) in Shanghai, Siemens is looking for an Associate IP Professional at the earliest opportunity.

What are my responsibilities?

·         Performing prior art search for invention disclosures or patents;

·         Performing freedom-to-operate search for new products/projects;

·         Performing patent monitoring on 3rd parties;

·         Performing state-of-the-art search to evaluate technology or products;

·         Performing validity search in connection with opposition or nullity proceedings;

·         Analyzing search results and providing search reports to IP counsels;

·         Analyzing technology landscape of patent portfolios.

·         Other work assigned by supervisor.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

·         Bachelor or above, majored in engineering or science (Mechanical Engineering is preferred);

·         Good knowledge and experience with technology/engineering/patent law;

·         Ability to deal with multi-disciplinary technological aspects of the subjects;

·         Proficient at reading and summarizing technical documents;

·         Willing to specialize in patent information searching and analyzing;

·         Familiar with different commercial patent databases is preferred.

·         Able to build close teamwork with IP counsels and understand biz need.

·         Able to work under pressure and willing to embrace challenges.
