Then come and join our global team as Senior Expert (w/m/d) Global SCM Service Logistics to develop and design holistic and horizontal end-to-end service parts supply chain solutions in close cooperation with the operational execution.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will lead global and strategic projects to develop an efficient and sustainable supply framework
  • You will manage and develop globally acting, external partners (e.g., 3PL/4PL) strategically with strong focus on digitalization and new innovations
  • You will drive cross-regional vendor qualification and global target setting towards vendors and suppliers by defining requirements in alignment with all relevant stakeholders
  • You will liaise with procurement on tender management
  • You will drive global sustainability framework in supply and transportation
  • You will be responsible for increasing network resilience based on network simulations to identify trends and enable our partners to develop solutions
  • You will ensure cost efficiency by creating models an analysis to determine the trade-off between transportation and inventory

Your qualifications and experience:

  • We welcome your application if you have completed a degree in supply chain management, business, or another relevant discipline
  • You possess many years of direct experience in supply chain management with focus on vendor management and inbound supply chain management
  • Alternatively, you bring a completed vocational training and further education with a focus on logistics in combination with additional professional experience in this area
  • You have in-depth knowledge in project management and strong experience in leading cross-country projects globally
  • You have experience in applying lean methods

Your attributes and skills:

  • You will work with international partners; therefore, you have fluent proficiency in English. Multilingual skills are of advantage
  • You have the ability to work independently within a complex matrixed organization and build consensus with others
  • You show team orientation, communication skills and customer orientation
  • You have very good moderation and presentation skills, in partner environment preferred. Therefore, you show sufficient knowledge of virtual collaboration workplaces as well as profound MS-Office skills, for example to create meaningful PowerPoint presentations
  • International business trips (approx. 15%) are a welcome variation for you
