Job Description:

The EDA FP&A Analyst position requires a combination of financial business and modeling acumen, stakeholder management, and clear communication and presentation skills.  As a member of the Sales Finance Team reporting to the Director of EDA Sales Finance FP&A, this position provides a unique opportunity to interact with Senior leaders in EDA Sales, EDA Finance, and across DISW worldwide finance teams. The primary responsibility is to ensure clear communication of financial plans and results to all relevant stakeholders. Doing so requires a strong understanding of the EDA business and process and the Siemens financial reporting and planning processes.

  • a curious individual who can analyze and distill data, then clearly communicate the relevant information,
  • an individual that can quickly learn and represent important aspects of the EDA enterprise SW business,
  • able to manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines and deliver exceptional results.

Responsibility Areas:

Communication & Presentation:  Synthesize financial performance data into easily understood and compelling management reports and performance dashboards. Act as a trusted advisor and leader when creating presentation material regarding the performance of the business. Credibly establish a level of confidence with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

Sales Planning/Forecasting:  Use financial modeling and quantitative analysis to serve best-in-class planning/forecasting for worldwide orders and revenue, supporting effective decision-making. Develop strong collaborative relationships with key partners in sales, finance, marketing, product division, and across the entire company. Remain detail-oriented while keeping high-level insight in clear focus. Use data to build credible insights into planning trends and influence overall sales planning/forecasting to serve accuracy better and drive revenue growth opportunities. Move beyond compiling data to service the ‘why’ behind the numbers.

Ad-Hoc: Engage on projects relating to the advancement of sales finance & operations initiatives.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Business, Mathematics, etc.)
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in finance
  • Experience developing & presenting executive-level communications and data visualization
  • Experience with Data extraction/presentation: Business Objects, Essbase, Esprit, Excel, PowerPoint
  • CPA or MBA preferred
