Compensation Consultant

Job Description

This is a mid-level Compensation role within the People & Organization (HR) team. It will work closely with our senior-most Compensation experts on large, global initiatives, Managing Board level topics, as well as cross-region compensation and benefits topics. The role may also have responsibility as a Compensation "Account Manager" supporting a division or line of business in a consultative/advisory capacity.

What you will Need:

Industry knowledge: Technology industry; HR Consultancy background or Start-up experience strongly preferred

o Ability to think big picture, be able to design!

o Strong project management skills

o Frustration-tolerance (big, complex, change-averse company…)

o Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities

o Strong consultative skills: Ability to actively listen and integrate feedback; capable to make informed judgments and to generate practical, timely solutions while working under pressure and managing deadlines

o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with management in identifying and resolving complex issues and conveying ideas to audiences

o Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities.

o Strong negotiation and persuasiveness, as well as Commercial awareness

o Tech/Tools/Project savviness and experience

o Ability to work within a matrixed organization, across borders, influencing without authority.

Compensation and Benefits Knowledge/Experience

o 5+ years’ Compensation experience

o Knowledge of global trends (e.g., in 2022, it is around pay equity, great resignation, tight talent pools, tech retention, software sales, etc.) and country/regional differences, e.g., cultural differences, country/mandatory retirement programs, etc.

o Track record: e.g., implementation of new reward schemes, design (e.g., of incentive structures or reward designs), digitalization etc.

o Strong Analytical skills and ideally knowledge of relevant tools – from excel to Power BI to Power Apps or other data analysis or visualization software
