This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Program Manager, Product Labeling Strategy you will be responsible for

  • Leveraging your medical device labeling regulatory knowledge, drive and managing labeling strategic projects for the Global Content Development & Product Labeling (C&L) Organization.
  •  Facilitate process for continuous improvement projects, managing dashboards, metrics and communication process for “in the business” (product related) and “on the business” (process related) focused on labeling initiatives.
  • Proactively provide coaching to C&L team on tools, process and approach to enable the delivery of all key project initiatives and ensure completion
  • Develop and maintaining both high level and detailed labeling project plans, metrics and dashboards as well as any related budgets.
  • Oversee and delegate tasks to the project team supporting project deliverables without direct line
  • Identify critical path activities and work with various functions to eliminate road blocks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Gain acceptance for ideas, plans and actions and implement across organizational boundaries
  • Lead project team meetings to ensure successful completion of deliverables using standardized project tools and content management systems.
  • Providing ongoing progress updates to management team, cross-functional business partners and senior leadership on progress of projects.
  • Leverage your ability to lead without direct reports, be an independent subject matter expert, knowledgeable resource, facilitator and coach to the Global Labeling organization.

  • You have strong direct experience in product labeling and a good understanding of medical device product labeling, including IFUs and package labeling
  • You understand labeling regulations and the impact on processes systems and tools used for product labeling
  • Delivery of project milestones that support “on the business” continuous improvement across a labeling organization that improve quality, cost, delivery and compliance leveraging experience in the Life Sciences industry as well as lean and project management principles.
  • Working across and up an organization as well as cross functionally, managing and delegating tasks to assigned resources to ensure high quality, on-time completion of project deliverables.
  • You have deep experience in lean sigma and continuous improvement
  • Are interested in not only driving your own projects but helping others to understand tools and systems to deliver on key improvement strategies
  • Have strong project management and KPI skills
  • You have good PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
  • Willingness to share your knowledge and learn new things

Required skills to have for the success of this role
  • BA/BS in Life Sciences, Packaging and/ or Labeling, Project Management or related field
  • Must have direct experience in packaging and / or  labeling in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries
  • Black Belt or Master Black Belt in Lean Sigma required (may be company specific version)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, but not required
  • Must have 5-8 years + experience in life sciences industry, preferable working in the labeling area
  • 4+ years as project or program manager focused on continuous improvement
  • Willing to travel 10%
