Position Title : Manufacturing Engineer, Russelectric, a Siemens Business, Broken Arrow, OK

Location : Broken Arrow, OK


The Manufacturing Engineer will have responsibility to oversee the development and implementation of processes in a manufacturing and administrative environment to drive productivity, cost efficiency, standardization and procedures development, product functionality according to customer’s requirements and participates in the implementation of zero harm culture. The position is expected to work independently and as part of a greater team, planning and implementing projects to support manufacturing including, but not limited to; equipment/process specification, validation, ergonomics/safety, and visual management.


  • Process mapping (including manufacturing and administrative/support) to identify potential improvements.
  • Layout and process flow definition.
  • Design of workstations following ergonomic and safety standards.
  • Routings definition per product/number of cubicles/complexity. Baseline for efficiency and capacity standard.
  • Assess, diagnose, and improve current assembly/work method per area to define “standard”. Develop documentation, visual aids, instructions, and training.
  • Process Control Plans development per area (fabrication, plating, painting, assembly).
  • Daily Engineering support/communication/coordination of manufacturing.
  • Drive productivity through the complete Value Stream chain. Coordination and effective utilization of resources, quality, engineering, design.
  • Develop, maintain, and process changes to manufacturing procedures, maintenance instructions, and specifications used in manufacturing. Manufacturing Process Approval (MPA).
  • Implement projects to reduce cost, improve quality and equipment efficiencies.
  • Participates and lead projects within different areas of the company (Quality, planning, engineering, safety, production) to support and implement a lean & continuous improvement culture.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • BSEE, BSME, BSIE or technical training/education, minimum of 3 years of industry experience
  • 5 - 8 years of industry experience or equivalent.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving, analytical and critical observation.
  • Good organizational skills, efficient to complete work to specific deadlines.
  • Leadership, teamwork and emotional intelligence.

  • Lean manufacturing experience.
