Project specialist (authorization of rolling stock)

Job Description

For more than 160 years, Siemens Mobility has been a leader in the field of sustainable, reliable and safe transport solutions. We bring solutions for passenger and freight transport of the future - rolling stock, infrastructure, automation and electrification, turn-key systems and related services, including servicing. We create innovative products in the field of urban public transport vehicles (trams, metro) as well as suburban, regional and high-speed rail transport.

What does your future team look like?
In the Czech Republic, we are expanding the Regulatory Affairs team, which is responsible for authorizing rolling stock from the Siemens Mobility portfolio to operate on target lines. 
Currently, the team consists of six members and is gradually expanding its competences in close cooperation with colleagues from Germany. The parent company in Germany has 4 Regulatory Affairs teams with many years of experience.

What will you do with us?
  • coordination of the activities of the authorization process with the relevant authorities and certification authorities, domestic and foreign, with the aim of ensuring the timely authorization of the vehicle
  • planning, coordinating and monitoring assigned activities within the authorization process
  • clarifying the requirements for granting authorization – legal and normative, international and nationally specific
  • cooperation with specialist departments (Engineering, Safety management, Test center) in proving the fulfillment of individual requirements
  • management of documentation proving the fulfillment of requirements

What do you need to become a team member?
  • higher education in a technical field (transport, electrical, mechanical, etc.)
  • practical experience with technical project management in an international engineering company (at least 1 year)
  • basic knowledge of rolling stock technology and operational requirements in rail transport
  • English and German at a communicative level (email and telephone communication on a daily basis, work with documents in a foreign language)

What would we appreciate if you have extra?
  • knowledge of software tools IBM DOORS, SAP
  • knowledge of TSI and/or NNTR
  • experience with dormitory authorization processes. vehicles at NSA, ERA, or similar authorities outside the EU
  • experience with dormitory certification processes. vehicles at NoBo, DeBo, or similar authorities outside the EU
