Then come and join our global team as Data Analytics Professional (APAC) to support the data analytics practice and guide the organization to successful data-led outcomes. The role reports to the Manager, Data Analytics & Insights APAC within Siemens Healthineers Asia Pacific Information Technology, Innovation and Process Consulting (SHS IT AP IPS) department.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Member of the Data Analytics & Insights APAC team to drive deployment, adoption and use of data for valuable business insights and outcomes
  • Contribute to, and support, the APAC Data Strategy activities including developing concepts, and executing the tasks assigned to achieve the set objective and targets in data analysis, including data acquisition, archive recovery, and implementation of database from relevant data sources as required by the business
  • Use analytics, and machine learning tools to select features, create and optimize classifiers; data models and data mart architectures
  • Build and/or enhance data collection procedures to include all relevant information for developing analytic systems; develop and upkeep the data warehouse and data marts
  • Execute preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
  • Preprocess, process, cleanse, and validate the integrity of structured and unstructured data to be used for analysis by IT and/or business users including key users and citizen developers of data visualization tools
  • Design and create reports and presentations for business users when required; correlate similar data to find actionable results
  • Develop prediction systems and machine learning algorithms; analyze data to find patterns and solutions
  • Collaborate with Business and IT teams in the zones / region and propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges
  • Create and maintain necessary documents and manuals to support the operations and service management of the platforms
  • Train and guide business users on becoming citizen developers and on overall data analytics and insights concepts and practices
  • Drive implementation of data analytics projects; and ensure compliance to Quality, Information Security, and Data Privacy regulations

Your qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Technical, Science, Finance, Business Analytics
  • At least 3-5 years of Data Analyst / Scientist or equivalent experience working with data (Software Engineering, Database Design, etc.)
  • Must have a software development background in order to prototype custom analytics/tooling
  • Working knowledge of multiple programming languages and statistical packages, as well as knowledge of dataset tools and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) tools
  • Practical and proven experience with data analysis and exploration, especially with diverse data sets
  • Experience as an architect and having developed scalable cloud-based data analytic solutions
  • Familiar with scalable distributed data processing, management, and visualization tools
  • Proven capability to apply the latest technologies and methodologies in AI/ML, data mining, and predictive analytics to correlate disparate datasets and events, and derive value.
  • Experience of leading data analytics projects for internal / external customers

Your attributes and skills:

  • Strong skills in English language, oral and written
  • Ability to converse in additional languages like Chinese / Japanese / Korean will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of statistical programming languages like R, Python, and database query languages like SQL / Hive is desirable. Familiarity with Scala, Java, or C++ is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of data platforms, ETL tools, data visualization tools, databases, and analytics like Microsoft Power BI, QlikView, Snowflake, Snap Logic, Alteryx, etc.
  • Experience in working with data warehouse / lake / lakehouse solutions and ERP platforms like SAP
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting
  • Critical thinker that is comfortable supporting collaborative problem solving in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good technical writing skills, documentation and communictions skills
  • Keen learner and curious about technology, processes and data
