Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • As Release Train Engineer (RTE) you will act as servant leader and coach for an agile release train (ART) which develops system solutions (mechanics, hardware, firmware) for our angiography products
  • Working with people from product management, program architecture and project management, you will be responsible for a release train consisting of more than 20 interdisciplinary agile teams collaborating internationally (Germany, India, China)
  • Your main task will involve continuing to develop processes and collaboration in the ART and coordinating with the higher-order solution levels. You will support the teams to deliver the best possible contribution to the entire value flow
  • You will be responsible for visualizing the quality, development progress and performance of the train and will ensure that information is available in a suitable and transparent manner
  • You will be the point of contact for questions on agile system development and will provide impetus for the further development of existing processes and agile ways of working
  • You will work actively with management, project management, the line organization and other stakeholders to address, minimize, monitor or escalate the ART's risks, obstacles and challenges

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a degree in IT, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable discipline
  • You have many years of professional experience as a release train engineer, scrum master or agile coach in software or firmware development, ideally in complex environments with several agile teams and in combination with system/hardware development
  • You have a very good knowledge of agile methods/practices, ideally in the area of Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) and a lean/agile mindset
  • You have a good understanding of the processes for developing medical devices and methods for resolving conflict

  • You can recognize work dependencies between teams and resolve them
  • You find it easy to build networks and bring people together
  • You are enthusiastic about agility and innovative problem solving, and are able to inspire others accordingly
  • You work in a clearly structured way even in difficult situations and are able to grasp the key aspects in complex structures
  • You enjoy intercultural collaboration (e.g., with India or China) and have very good English skills, enabling you to operate with confidence in our international working environment; ideally you can also offer a very good knowledge of German
