Team Lead - ETCS - Railway Infrastructure

• You will lead a team in technical terms (can be line management also based on your credentials) and will be responsible for the ETCS in Mainline projects worldwide managing team/tasks for:

i. Technical/Delivery Management
ii. System Design
iii. Detailed Design
iv. Hardware Engineering
v. Software Engineering

• You will act as a central point of contact to provide available services to the respective projects globally.
• You are responsible for the processes, guidelines and tools used by your team and to make the deliverables available to the departments involved in the projects.
• You network intensively with other Siemens units, which provide some of the services themselves, and coordinate the joint approach.
• To this effect, you advise to your group lead as well as the project managers on their queries, plan work packages, resources, project milestones, and monitor progress.
• Together with your team and the regional units, you support the bid phase of projects worldwide. In addition, you will be involved in the management of your projects from ETCS perspective.
• You will take care of resource management, work package allocation and development plans of your team members.

• You carry 10-20 years of experience in Railway Signalling
• You have a completed university degree (Master / Graduate degree) in an engineering discipline, preferably electrical / electronics.
• You also have 8+ years very strong experience in ETCS/ERTMS/ATP systems in…
i. ETCS / ERTMS principals for Mainline Projects (Overseas mainline experience is preferred)
ii. System design and Engineering for ETCS Level 1 and Level 2
iii. SW and HW engineering for ETCS
iv. Operational Design of ETCS as overlay on Signalling
v. Experience on ETCS Level 3 hybrid (ATO over ETCS) will be added advantage
vi. Strong understanding of Signalling solution and interworking of ETCS with other systems as Interlocking, Train Supervision, Operational Concept, Signalling Infrastructure and Maintenance Systems
vii. Comprehensive Knowledge of Testing strategy and requirements engineering towards providing compliances
viii. Preparing & reviewing design documentation

• You should have managed a small / medium size team of engineers.
• Experience of building a new team would be preferred.
• You are also used to working in international project environments and possess intercultural competence.
• For global tasks, you bring excellent English skills.
• Independent and structured approach to work
• Team coordination, leadership, and mediation skills between different locations.
