Asia Australia will be a key growth region and we are looking for an creative, collaborative, and entrepreneurial manager to lead our teams in the three hubs Singapore, India and Australia. You will be responsible to develop and adopt a regional strategy and hunting scheme along our four key priorities profitability, order intake for Siemens Industrial businesses, sustainability, and resilience.

  • As new Head of Asia Australia at SFS EQ you lead a team to find, develop and structure new investment opportunities in line with our key priorities
  • You drive, coordinate and support cross-functional transaction teams for the due diligence and investment process, ensuring full transparency on risks and opportunities in new investments
  • You will be fully responsible and accountable for the portfolio and P&L of the AA region together with the Head of Risk & Asset Management AA and will receive the relevant empowerment for making relevant business decisions
  • You build and manage relationships with all relevant external stakeholders, e.g. partners, co-investors, financial advisors, as well as internal stakeholders, e.g. Industrial Businesses, Siemens Regional Company Management, as well as make sure that respective alignments are ensured
  • You drive and deliver effective people management within diverse teams via different methods/tools
  • You will take an active leadership role within the EQ leadership team to shape the future and collectively drive the transformation of SFS EQ

What you need to make real what matters.

  • Business administration degree (or similar) together with a profound understanding of equity investments, M&A, and other project finance structures. MBA is a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with proven operational track record in financing / investment processes, ideally in a captive environment
  • Advanced knowledge on decarbonization technologies, i.e. Renewables, eMobility, Healthcare, Transportation, Sustainable food
  • Strong understanding on sectors where Siemens industrial business’ (IB) is operating and how to apply in invested companies
  • Experienced in managing and participating in cross-functional teams (transactions / value creation) and ability to engage, motivate and mobilize resources, providing clear expectations amidst change
  • External market experience managing stakeholders, market trends, and commercial arrangements in fast developing market environments
  • Ability to highly motivate and manage a team to reach strong performance. Professional way of and experienced in communicating with international senior management. Leverage market/internal insights to influence stakeholders with compelling business cases
  • Demonstrable experience of working within an international, matrix environment as well as working with international, virtual teams
  • In addition to your native language, you are fluent in English
  • Please be aware that 20-30% travel is required for this role
