Position Overview:

Siemens Digital Industry – Process Automation is searching for a highly motivated professional Business Developer with passion for customer engagement and promoting superior solutions helping customers meet the challenges of a digital global marketplace. Successful performance requires a substantial amount of independent interface with new potential Siemens customers, account managers, and business unit personnel with a focus on growing market share and Siemens footprint within Process End Users and OEMs. This role will represent the entire Process Automation portfolio including distributed control systems (DCS), Instrumentation, COMOS, PSE, and other components of the PA Digitalization program. This position is available to work 100% remote within the greater Denver Colorado Region.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding the process automation market as it relates to customer requirements, opportunities, and competition.

• Promote Siemens DCS (product and solution), PI, CGA, PSE, CIS (COMOS and XHQ), overall Digitalization portfolio and services.
Build and maintain a business plan by uncovering new customer opportunities collaborating with Siemens account managers, channel partners, solution partners, and business units.
Build partnerships at end users and OEMs within the Chemical, Pharma, and Food and Beverage markets.
Prepare and execute presentations that highlight the value of our solutions and services focused at the C-suite and senior management level.

•Utilize prospecting, cold calling, and social networking to build new business contacts along with Siemens specific and industry tools.
Engaging business unit technical and industry experts to provide solutions that address unique customer requirements.

• Coordination with marketing to promote campaigns targeted at reaching new customers.
• Tasked with introducing process control products and technologies to process OEM’s and End Users with incumbent competitive products.

• Participate in professional organizations and support industry events



Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 5 years in commercial/sales role.

• Anticipated travel: 50%.

• Entrepreneurial, innovative, driven, and collaborative mindset.
Executive level verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Ability to influence those outside your reporting structure.

• Ability to quickly build trust via championing and advocating.

• Ability to think strategically and creatively to penetrate new customers and OEMs.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

BS in Engineering preferred or related technical field
• 8-10 years’ experience with
previous experience in a technology sales role selling to industrial and/or process customers
• Knowledge of customers and competitors within the defined territory is a plus.

PLEASE NOTE: Individual must possess a valid Driver’s license in good standing.
Individual must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
