Sr Financial Analyst- US Education Workforce Solutions

Job Description

The Sr Financial Analyst position will lead and independently analyze financial results to determine accuracy and completeness of information for the Siemens Healthineers US Education Workforce Solutions (EWS) Organization.  As a key advisor to education management, the position will design and prepare various financial reports, lead financial analysis at complex levels including budgeting, forecasting and performance comparisons, and conduct financial reviews with business partners.  Will be a developer of financial dashboards by utilizing financial tools and resources to provide financial information to the education management.  Assist in developing or re-structuring financial model to support business growth. They will ensure conformance to IFRS requirements.

The role impacts a business organization of 300+ employees and interacts and advises at all levels of that organization.  It reports to the Director, Education Services.

Responsibilities:

This position independently performs leading-edge areas of work for the professional field.  The successful candidate will preempt potential problems and provides effective solutions in reaction to application of concepts, techniques, knowledge, or processes.  They will display original thinking in applying principles, theories, and concepts on a wide range of problems.  This will be applied across areas of budgeting and forecasting expertise, financial analysis, and reporting for Education Workforce Solutions, working directly with Clinical Practice Head Directors, EWS Operation Directors,  EWS Strategy Directors, and Service Headquarters functions.   

Specific Areas include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead and oversee the development of the of key financial reports for Education Workforce Solutions
  • Innovative and maintain key financial dashboards that contain metrics, operational and financial reporting information
  • Lead financial change management in conjunction with new product roll out or changes in business model
  • Primary contact with internal partners for all operating expense, revenue and margin topics 
  • Will lead discussion with partners to help facilitate improvement within their business
  • Leads budget and forecast process for all of Education Workforce Solutions
  • Performs month end closing functions
The analyst will be accountable for and measured in terms of:
  • Quality and timeliness of analytics
  • Customer orientation and responsiveness in a matrix environment
  • Development and automation of new reporting along with enhancing the budgeting, and forecasting process
  • Financial performance of Education Workforce Solution
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Key criteria include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and related area(s)
  • 10+ years in relevant field, balanced against relevant Siemens experience
  • Strong analytical and financial skills 
  • Effective communicator with team members and with Senior level management
  • Self-starter, capable of bringing projects to a successful conclusion with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in working with an ERP system, downloading data, and creating database driven models, visual analytics tools experience a definite plus.  Expertise within the Microsoft Office suite of products and Power BI is necessary 
  • Travel required, estimated <10%
