We are seeking a dynamic and professional technical person who will be responsible for building a world-class field solutions engineering team servicing Siemens EDA’s electronics architect solutions world-wide.

In this position you will build and lead a new team of talented solutions engineers in Siemens EDA with a variety of front-end skill sets. You will assemble this team by recruiting from internal teams and external sources. You will be expected to lead both experienced engineers and junior engineers who will require training and support.

The position will be responsible for driving Siemens electronics architect initiative and bringing new platforms to market that will enable customers to continuously verify electronics systems capacity for executing SW workloads. These platforms will be seen as hybrid digital twins integrating our tools to leverage model based simulation from virtual through RTL, as well as emulation through embedded analytics. The position will require prototyping methodology and workflow solutions with customers in advance of product capabilities as well as developing and implementing best practices to establish Siemens as a leader in this segment.

This is a management position, but it is also a very hands-on role requiring strong technical ability. You and your team will work closely with customers and R&D to address emerging customer needs.

The job will be based in the United States, with 40% or less travel required.


In this role, you will be expected to do the following:

  • Lead recruitment, training, and development of new staff into the team
  • Engage prospective customers in discovery meetings understanding their existing environment and goals of the prospective engagement. Work with sales, R&D and services to qualify the opportunity. Develop and execute the engagement plan.
  • Prototype solutions as needed with lead customers, develop best practices, and deliver training for the field engineers supporting engagements
  • Collaborate closely with R&D to transition prototype solutions into R&D delivered, scalable solutions.
  • Work with the business unit’s product marketing and management teams to define new product requirements and provide insight based on customers’ needs and the field perspective
  • Contribute towards the area technical sales plan with management and create/review account technical plans. Communicate frequently with peers and management on progress and account status


You should possess the following combination of education, experience, and characteristics:

  • BS Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Masters preferred
  • 10+ years of industry experience in product support, applications engineering, or a similar role
  • Prior leadership or direct supervision experience
  • Evidence of the ability to lead by example, displaying the attitude and skills to which direct reports should aspire
  • Evidence of self-motivation and the ability to motivate others towards results
  • Ideal candidates with have a strong understanding of the IC architecture and SW stack domain including requirements management, virtual modeling, hybrid emulation, embedded SW, industry performance benchmarks, and integration with EDA verification and implementation flows.
  • Clear ability to enjoy working with customers and cross-functional teams (sales/account managers, field applications engineers, R&D, and product management)
  • Experience in developing customer relationships and corresponding experience in expectation management
  • A confident, results-focused communication style; a style that will win business
  • A mindset that embraces new learning experiences including an ability to respond positively to organizational needs and changes
