Factory Controlling Manager

Job Description

Siemens Large Drives Applications is looking for a dynamic Controlling Manager that will lead our Controlling team in our New Kensington, PA, factory. This includes leading all aspects of activities including Cost and Profit Center Controlling, Financial Planning and Forecasting, Financial Closing activities, R&D Controlling.

  • Work as a partner with the Plant Controller to drive strategic measures and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Ensures high quality preparation of Forecast and Annual Budget processes.
  • Drives Factory Regulative and Rate Development processes.
  • Accomplishes planning, controlling, accounting, and reporting activities of costs including EVA, Gross Profit, Investments, NWC at plant level.
  • Analyses deviations in detail including corrective actions.
  • Drives consistency, standardization, and digitalization of financial processes.
  • Ensures efficiency measures are in accordance with guidelines and performance is managed.
  • Ensures adherence to all internal and external financial reporting guidelines.
  • Takes ownership for preparation and analysis of sophisticated accounting issues.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis in support Plant Manager, Segment Head of Finance, and Headquarters segment management.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and development to a team of financial professionals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolves semi-complex problems.
  • Use SAP and software packages to automate and advance processes.
  • Conduct financial reviews, for balance sheet and P&L impacts.
  • Partnering with the operations group on daily activities to supervise projects and their financial impacts.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
  • BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • In depth knowledge of SAP.
  • Highly skilled in Excel and Hyperion.
  • Improves existing processes and drives consistency and completeness.
  • Drives Digitalization in Finance Projects.
  • Strong understanding of annual budgeting and rolling forecast process.
  • Collaboration skills to lead multiple stakeholders (Plant and Corporate).
  • Ability to optimally manage deadlines, prioritize and multi-task.
  • Detailed understanding of drivers of efficiency and cost saving initiatives.
  • Experience in Finance related roles.
  • Have 5+ years of related managerial experience including building trust with upper management.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects with effective implementation

  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in related technical field or business studies
