This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Solutions Specialist Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing expert cross product and interoperability knowledge expertise between Automation, informatics and analytical components of complex customer solutions.    
  • Supporting as needed onsite and remote solution stabilization and optimization efforts at high throughput /Large volume or  with complex solutions.
  • Establishing strong working relationship with Automation OEM partner Inpeco in order to build expertise in Automation modules and software configuration and provide feedback cross organizationally for new development items.
  • Collaboration with Inpeco Automation R&D  and Siemens instrument R&D teams to ensure maximum interoperability of solutions
  • Providing technical product support and guidance to proactively maintain product performance or resolve customer complaints for hardware and software issues
  • Providing support in design and modifications of automation solutions
  • Providing support in preparing explanations and clarifying information to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of specifications, performance characteristics or other technical data.
  • Recommending new designs, new processes or design changes to meet requirements.
  • Working with other engineers to develop and implement new products or changes in existing products.
  • Providing support in software and hardware integration, development and testing
  • Performing product maintenance and configuration duties. Execute software and hardware upgrades as needed.
  • Conducting acceptance and integration testing of new software releases. Evaluating potential risks and develop test protocols to identify those risks
  • Collaborating with colleagues in other departments for efficient achievement of shared targets
  • Collaborating cross functionally to develop basic and targeted advanced solution content for documentation enhancement and  SHS CS Education (EDU) delivery
  • Delivering advanced training content in collaboration with EDU
  • Communicating and owning  Customer challenges and expectations for complex solution design until final resolution.

  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills and possess the ability to prioritize multiple issues and projects  simultaneously.
  • Are a self- motivated individual able to balance appropriately both Customer and Business needs.
  • Ability to follow a project from conceptual design through final stages
  • Can identify gaps in processes or content and are motivated to act and improve the situation.
  • Have the ability to diagnose and investigate customer reported problems, apply standard troubleshooting tools and concepts to identify the real issue and its root cause.
  • Familiar with technical product support and engineering change control activities
  • Proven success working independently and in a team environment using a collaborative approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach others on complex technical topics.
  • You should be driven to learn new software and hardware solutions; you will be working with our latest technology.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, including short-term local, regional, and international in support of self-development or optimizing complex solutions.
  • You do not compromise on Quality, the things we do are  governed by FDA and HIPPA requirements.

Required skills to have for the success of this role

  • Minimum 4-year degree in engineering, computer science, technology management, electronics or biological/clinical sciences or related fields. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5 years’ experience in supporting Automation and/or Informatics products.
  • 2 years’ experience in supporting Inpeco Automation and/or Informatics products.
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Systems or Software engineering.
  • Ability to employ analytical skills in projects such as statistical data interpretation, computer simulations and complex calculations.
  • Strong problem-solving kills leveraging known methodologies such as fault tree, fishbone, 5 whys and others.
  • Capable of communicating effectively with various target audiences delivering content ranging from executive summaries to detailed technical explanations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint, Power BI experience a plus.
