People & Organization (HR) Business Partner, Smart Infrastructure

The Opportunity
You will be a part of the People & Organization team at our Spartanburg, SC manufacturing facility where you will balance the operational priorities of a production environment with a strategic business focus, bringing insight, an independent viewpoint and HR expertise to business issues. With a robust HR ecosystem to support you, you will consult with and influence front line supervisors on emerging people related topics; translate business requirements into people imperatives and work collaboratively across teams to develop solutions to business challenges and drive opportunities. You will report to the People & Organization (HR) Leader for Electrical Products US and must be able to maintain a regular on-site presence at our factory in Spartanburg, SC.

  • You will understand business goals craft integrated solutions that effectively drive and support business performance through deep insight, an independent viewpoint, and People & Organization expertise
  • You will interpret data, identify trends/themes, and present trends. Work with key partners to identify root source of issues, develop persuasive recommendations, outline suggested action, and influence to drive action
  • You will partner with leadership teams at relevant levels to drive performance and build organizational capability, including coaching and enabling supervisors and managers toward human-centric leadership
  • You will closely collaborate with peers and colleagues throughout the People & Organization community to bring to bear the full P&O value chain
  • As a trusted advisor and thought leader, you will drive discussions related to cultural, workforce, and organization design changes and provide recommendations
  • You will enable local business to develop a diverse, robust talent pipeline, including focus on Success Planning
  • You will partner with and empower supervisors and managers to resolve routine operational issues and liaison with the Employee Relations team on more complex issues and investigations
  • You will keep an overall pulse of the organization, and constantly scan the external market for trends and influences
  • You will drive a culture of ownership by empowering employees to fully utilize available self-service resources and tools

  • Ability to travel domestically (10%)
